Information You Submit
A name, phone number, or address entered into a search form is sent to the third-party provider that returns search results. Fayetteville Residents Directory does not retain a copy of those searches on its own servers. A message sent to us contains only the information included in that message and is used to respond.
Automatic Technical Data
Hosting records normal server-log details, including an IP address, browser type, viewed pages, and timestamps. Aggregate review helps maintain the service and understand general page use. Cookies or similar tools may support basic analytics and, where applicable, advertising measurement.
How Limited Data Is Used
The limited data supports operation, troubleshooting, traffic measurement, and page improvements. We do not sell visitor lists or create individual visitor profiles.
External Services and Links
Links lead to county and state record portals, library collections, archives, and third-party search services. The privacy policy of each destination controls information submitted there. That includes sponsored search results supplied by another company.
Parties That May Process Data
Hosting and support providers process server logs for the service. Analytics and advertising partners may receive the technical data described above. Data is otherwise disclosed only when valid legal process requires it.
Data Safeguards
The service uses an encrypted connection and retains logs only for as long as the purposes described here require. Because accounts are not offered, there is no account password or profile to maintain.
Visitors Under 18
The service is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from people under 18. If a minor has sent information to us, contact us so it can be deleted.
Your Information Choices
Depending on where a visitor lives, law may provide a right to request access, correction, or deletion of personal data that a website keeps. Research for this North Carolina build did not identify an enacted comprehensive state data-broker deletion law. Because this service keeps very little, a request generally means checking the contact mailbox and relevant logs, then removing information found there. Use the Contact page to ask. Government-held North Carolina public records are outside our control and must be addressed to their custodian.
Policy Revisions
A revised policy will be posted here. Continued use after a revision means acceptance of that revised version.
